Meet Curated Module v2. A brand new staking module for the curated operators in the Lido protocol. Being based on the battle-tested code of the Community Staking Module, it features several major features that will drastically improve the Lido protocol:
- Support for
0x02validators with a dedicated rails for stake migration from the soon-to-be legacy Curated Module v1. - Node Operator types combined with the sub-node operator framework, allowing for a precise key and stake management within a single real-world entity willing to run different validation setups.
- Weighted stake allocation. A novel approach to stake distribution between Node Operators that accounts for the differences between Node Operator Types, and enables future addition of the Validation Market.
- All of the cool CSM features like per-validator bond, automated penalties, fair rewards allocation with pull-based claim, and many more.
Note: LIP-33 covers basics of the new Curated Module v2 and features planned for Phase 1. Phase 2 will have its own LIP later.
