I’ve been watching the development of this proposal since the holidays, and I (as an outside observer, so all I bring are words, rather than votes) think this is the most compelling of the options presented to Lido governance. GFX Labs has had the pleasure to work extensively in the cross-chain governance and space, and is familiar to both Wormhole and Axelar from our contributions at Uniswap, where a similar debate occurred last year.
Significantly, this pair of providers are the only two that the exhaustive Uniswap Foundation Bridge Report recommended. Combining them to provide an implementation isolated from the small individual risks of either bridge makes for an even more compelling offer.
Some of the other offers are strong, and I don’t want to diminish them, but getting both Axelar and Wormhole – who can act as an additional security check on each other – for a cost-free implementation and maintenance would be approved faster than you can say Jack Robinson at most DAOs.
