So therefore: Let’s hear from the client teams. Once they give the green light, signal 40M broadly on Holesky, and send test tx to fill some blocks. While we’re at it, also test 60M on Holesky.

The nature of this signaling is that we can’t just cautiously test it. Say I run Lodestar and signal 40M to see how it goes. Well the increase is gradual and undone with the next block, so I’m never even getting anywhere near 40M: Until 50+% of the network signal, and then we’re ramping to 40M fast and we’ll see results (and possibly failures) across the board.

Agree. It seems the community push here was a bit premature (or at least not aligned with an all-clear from client teams) and it makes sense to take a step back at this moment to collect all information before proceeding.
