The process has been overwhelming to manage so far and there are a few areas of focus in the near term:
- Preconfirmations
- LRTs
- DeFi integrations
Given that preconfirmations will be relatively ‘exclusive’ once node operators pick it up, we are thinking of a more suitable process to express the requirements for projects to apply to through something like an RFP process. This should make it more transparent and fair and allow token holders a more balanced and structured approach to selecting a partner.
With LRTs and DeFi integrations, we can be more flexible. With the launch of Mellow, advanced DeFi strategies are now live on lido.fi and this page should evolve over time to accommodate those use-cases. We will manage the pipeline to try and batch votes by ‘grouping’ or type of project, to avoid overloading token holders. Tentatively, a new batch could be ready for the July governance window.
