I fully agree with providing immediate value and have often used the motto “Decentralize until it hurts, centralize until it works, then decentralize again”.
The fact that RPCs are permissionless can provide resistance to a type of censorship I was referring to. If the organisation is forced by law or government order to restrict business with particular IPs or wallets, then other actors - free from such constraints - can spin up an instance and offer their service to those who the first provider wouldn’t give access to.
