Establish a Public Delegate Platform and Delegate Incentivization Program

Final Update on First Lido DAO Delegate Rally

The Delegate Rally has concluded at 4 PM UTC on October 3, coinciding with the start of voting.

Eligible Delegates for Incentives

Congratulations to the seven delegates eligible for the incentivization program: @Lanski @notjamiedimon @polar @degentradingLSD @Ignas @BlockworksResearch @Nansen.

As this is a pilot project, the Delegate Oversight Committee has determined that all delegates with 2M+ on-chain delegations* are eligible for incentives.

Next Steps

  1. The Delegate Oversight Committee will evaluate results at the end of the first quarter of the pilot. Incentives will be distributed after the December voting slots, at the end of December.

I would like to remind you that the quantitative criterion for receiving incentives is participation in 70% of votes. As for the qualitative criteria, you can find them above, but briefly, they include:

    • Representing Token Holders: Analyze proposals and ensure the community’s interests are upheld.
    • Community Engagement: Participate in discussions, conduct independent analyses of DAO votes, and participate in community update calls.
    • Expertise Contribution: Provide feedback in relevant areas of expertise.
  2. The pilot program is divided into two quarters. The second quarter of incentives will commence on December 19. Therefore, all delegates who receive 2M+ before the start of the next quarter will be eligible for the second quarter’s incentives. To attract as many delegates as possible and benefit Lido DAO, this date may be adjusted to align with the start of January votings.

Also, discussions regarding incentives for other active governance contributors have been initiated by @Tane. Share your thoughts here.

Thank you for your participation! And see you on Lido DAO votes!

*Even though 2 out of 7 delegates didn’t reach the 2M+ LDO delegation threshold on Snapshot, the committee sees active support from the community and believes that including these delegates will be beneficial. The lower delegation threshold on Snapshot is likely due to an unusual UX flow. Therefore, the committee considers that all 7 participants with sufficient on-chain delegated VP should be eligible for incentives.
