I have been researching how DAOs make decisions and I am curious about anonymity. Since this feature is possible on discourse and is easy to enable:

My thesis is that optional anonymity would allow users to communicate candidly without needing to create a throwaway account, and would love your feedback on this.
I have reservations about enabling anonymity. Anonymity could lower the quality of discussions, making it easier for unconstructive or harmful comments to surface. It also complicates moderation, as tracking and addressing issues becomes more difficult.
Moreover, there’s already a sufficient level of anonymity in our current system, so adding more might not be necessary and could invite potential abuse.
