The appointment will be submitted to the Lido DAO via Snapshot vote in the next voting slot, following community feedback in this thread.
1. Background
The Lido Labs Foundation (“Lido Labs”), approved by the Lido DAO on 30 January 2025, is the Cayman Islands foundation company that researches, develops, deploys and helps maintain the Lido on Ethereum protocol. It operates under the Bylaws approved by the Lido DAO at establishment and is funded through the Ecosystem Grant gRequest (EGG).
The Lido Labs’s board manages the foundation’s affairs and exercises its corporate powers.
Under the Bylaws:
- Director elections require approval of both the board and a Community Module Approval (i.e. via Snapshot vote of LDO holders).
- Directors may be removed by the board, by Community Module Approval, or by an Emergency Supervisor.
- The board takes any necessary and useful actions to give effect to the outcome of any Community Module Approval.
The current composition of the board of Lido Labs is:
- Sam Kozin (@skozin)
- Jacobus Pietersen (independent director, Caliber)*
- Konstantin (@konstantin)
*Jacobus Pietersen was previously a director at Hash Directors, but left in June 2025 to co-found Caliber.
(@EvgeniyEmelyanov has earlier resigned from the role and is no longer a director).
Konstantin (@konstantin) is transitioning away from his board member role to a strategic advisory one across the Lido-DAO-adjacent organizations with such transition taking effect alongside the new director’s appointment.
2. Proposed change
2.1 Appointment of Nemo as Director
Nemo (@nemo) is proposed as a new director of Lido Labs. Since October 2024, Nemo has been an active contributor to the Lido DAO.
Nemo’s earlier contributions focused on the Lido Alliance BORG, helping advance the Alliance program and the operational work around it. Most recently, Nemo has been leading the development of Wisp, one of the vertical expansion bets, as set out in the 2026 EGG.
Beyond his work within the Lido ecosystem, Nemo brings deep crypto-native conviction alongside early-stage operational experience. He is a co-founder of Daedalus (https://x.com/daedalus_angels), a crypto-native angel collective that has been operating and deploying capital for six years, and an active admin and core contributor to LobsterDAO (https://x.com/10b57e6da0), one of Ethereum’s longest-running communities. Previously, as CPO at Santiment.net, he worked at the intersection of on-chain analytics and crypto market infrastructure, while his earlier career included helping build FishingBooker (fishingbooker.com) as a founding team member and working at an early-stage startup later acq-hire by Facebook (Facebook poaches leaders of Refdash interview prep to work on Jobs | TechCrunch).
Nemo brings the qualities one looks for in a foundation director: his blend of hands-on execution, market infrastructure experience, and long-term community engagement grounds his practical judgment. Alongside this, his reliable, accountable contributions across multiple Lido-related workstreams show clear alignment with the DAO’s broader interests.
