Node Operator Admission: Figment as stVault Professional Trusted Operator

Identification

Figment is the leading provider of staking infrastructure with over $18 billion in staked assets across over 30 networks. Figment provides the complete staking solution for over 1000+ institutional clients, including asset managers, exchanges, wallets, foundations, custodians, and large token holders, to earn rewards on their digital assets. Figment is one of the largest non-custodial staking providers on Ethereum. Institutional staking services from Figment include seamless point-and-click staking, portfolio reward tracking, API integrations, audited infrastructure, and slashing protection. This all leads Figment’s mission to support the adoption, growth, and long-term success of the digital asset ecosystem.

Business Case

Figment serves a broad cross section of Ethereum stakers and sees great potential for Lido’s Vault product - from yield-enhancing strategies to liquidity. Currently serving over 6% of ETH stakers, there are many potential synergies between our current offering and one augmented by stVaults.

In the medium term, Figment will seek the Professional Trusted Operator designation through significant ETH allocated to stVaults operated by Figment.

Our intention is to work both with our current clients, prospects and Lido to offer the best staking products possible, recognizing that there is also an iterative and ideation part to recognize the full potential of Lido stVaults.

Ops & decentralization

Validator Distribution is a core component of Figment’s Ethereum staking architecture and a critical factor in managing risk at institutional scale. Figment’s ETH validators are deliberately distributed to reduce correlated risk across geography, infrastructure providers, and execution and consensus clients, ensuring resilience through network upgrades, client releases, and periods of elevated network activity.

Today, Figment operates Ethereum validators across 3 countries, with active support for multiple consensus and execution clients. This diversified approach reinforces Ethereum’s decentralization while providing institutions with predictable performance, operational stability, and confidence at scale.

With respect to block production, Figment uses MEV-boost and is connected to the following relays: Flashbots, bloXroute - max profit, bloXroute - regulated, Titan - filtering and Ultrasound filtering - all OFAC compliant relays. Figment is and has always been connected to OFAC compliant relays only.
