Who we are
Flow Traders is a global liquidity provider and market maker, publicly listed on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange (Euronext: FLOW) since 2015 and operating in financial markets since 2004. The firm expanded into digital assets trading in 2017, initially focusing on centralized exchanges before broadening its activities to include over-the-counter trading, options trading, and decentralized finance. Since then, it has been building blockchain infrastructure capabilities to support projects and help strengthen the broader digital assets ecosystem.
We are applying to become an Identified Node Operator under the Professional Trusted Operator category.
Business case
Our initial business case is focused on internal use cases, using stVaults as foundational infrastructure for our own staking operations. In parallel, we are developing a non-custodial, KYC-enabled staking solution for counterparties and projects. Supported by our existing relationships with exchanges, custodians, and institutional counterparties, this creates a natural pathway to broaden participation and increase assets deployed through stVaults.
Timeline: We’ve already initiated the deployment and integration of stVault; completing identification and category assignment will enable us to scale our allocation more effectively.
Operations & decentralization
Flow Traders brings more than 20 years of experience operating mission-critical, low-latency trading systems in global financial markets. We run institutional-grade, highly available infrastructure that processes millions of orders every day across multiple regions, cloud providers, and on-premises data centers, ensuring resilience and redundancy. That same operating philosophy also defines our blockchain infrastructure business, where we provide the core systems that enable validator infrastructure to run securely, reliably, and at scale.
In practice, this means:
- Infrastructure spanning EMEA, APAC, and the AMER, deployed across both cloud and on-premises environments spanning key financial hubs, with no dependency on any single region or provider.
- A diversified Ethereum validator setup, running a mix of Go- and Rust-based clients across both the execution and consensus layers to reduce correlated risk.
- 24/7 monitoring by a follow-the-sun engineering team, supported by structured incident response, tested failover procedures, and disciplined change management.
- An MEV approach aligned with the Lido Relay Maintenance Committee allowlist.
- Ongoing evaluation of DVT and how it can be incorporated into our setup over time.
Governance & compliance
We are ISO 27001 certified, undergo regular third-party audits, and operate within the regulatory framework that comes with being publicly listed on Euronext. This supports a structured approach to risk management, strong internal controls, and a high degree of transparency.
