We would like to share our recently published mega report on Lido: “Lido: The Most Important Protocol on Ethereum.”
This report is our attempt to understand Lido not merely as a liquid staking protocol, but as one of the most important infrastructure layers in Ethereum’s staking economy.
It provides a comprehensive overview of the history of Ethereum staking and the rise of liquid staking, the UX and liquidity challenges Lido has helped solve, the debates around centralization concerns, the background behind the emergence of various modules through the Staking Router, and how Lido has evolved through governance framework and modular architecture into a more credibly neutral staking infrastructure layer.
We hope this report can serve as a helpful introduction for those who are new to Lido, and as a broader reference for those already familiar with Lido to better understand its role within Ethereum’s staking ecosystem.
The report will continue to be updated periodically and distributed to institutions and builders across different regions. It currently supports both Korean and English, and we are also open to additional translation and distribution collaborations to support broader local distribution.
Feedback, corrections, and additional perspectives from builders, node operators, researchers, and governance participants in the Lido ecosystem would be extremely valuable in helping us make this report more complete.
