At FP Validated, we firmly believe that Lido is fulfilling its role as Ethereum’s default staking layer. We’ve long aligned and supported that vision by publishing research and educational content to help more people understand and adopt the protocol.

In particular, we believe Lido’s IDVTC represents one of the most promising directions for the future of decentralized staking. By leveraging Distributed Validator Technology (DVT), IDVTC enables multiple independent node operators to jointly operate a single validator as a cluster. Compared to the traditional single-operator model, this approach offers greater resilience while significantly reducing downtime and slashing risk. It is especially valuable for solo stakers, who often lack the resources to build sophisticated monitoring systems and highly available infrastructure.
To participate, we established our own selection criteria and actively recruited cluster members for last few weeks:
Teaming up the cluster mates, however, was far from easy. DVT is still a relatively new concept for many community members, applicants needed to meet the ICS eligibility requirements, and each operator naturally had different expectations and operational preferences. Fortunately, we found an outstanding group of fellow operators, and together we were honored to become one of the four clusters selected in this inaugural cohort.
As we begin operating our IDVTC cluster, we’ll openly share our experiences with our fellow operators and publish recaps and technical content along the way. We hope these efforts will help educate the broader community about Lido, DVT, and the importance of decentralized staking, ultimately contributing to a stronger Ethereum staking ecosystem.
Finally, we’d like to express our sincere respect for Lido’s unwavering commitment to decentralization. Thank you for continuing to invest in initiatives like IDVTC and for designing them with thoughtful incentives that encourage meaningful community participation.
We’re honored to contribute to this mission. ![]()
