As part of the proposed LIP-28: Dual Governance, Lido DAO is asked to approve the creation of three committees designed to handle edge-case coordination and failure scenarios.
Each committee has a focused mandate and is described in detail in LIP-28. Signers and quorum thresholds have been selected to match the specific trust, speed, and resilience requirements of each committee.
To improve transparency and make future updates easier to track, each committee has its dedicated forum thread:
- Emergency Committee - Lido Dual Governance Emergency Committee
Quorums: 4/7 to activate emergency mode, 5/7 to execute or disable DG
Purpose: temporary failsafe during the first year post-deploy;
- Tiebreaker Committee - Lido Dual Governance Tiebreaker Committee
Quorum: āmultisig of multisigsā, with: 2/3 quorum on the top-level multisig; Supermajority approval required from each subcommittee.
Purpose: resolves rare governanceāprotocol deadlocks (e.g. RageQuit + withdrawal pause)
- Reseal Committee - Lido V2 GateSeal Committee
Quorum: 5/6
Purpose: prolong the temporary GateSeal pause into an indefinite pause when DG blocks execution
Each thread includes:
- Current signer list;
- Multisig config (quorum, purpose, roles);
- Signers verification (to be added);
- Change log (future signer updates, if any).
These threads will serve as the canonical references for committee composition and changes after deployment.
