Business Case
Consensys’ initial focus is to offer vaults for internal use cases. In this case, Linea Bridge ETH, providing yield directly back to users on Linea without those users having to interact with any DeFi activity.
Secondly, vaults offer the possibility of adding more risk-adjusted offerings attractive to both ends of the market, both consumer and institutional. Consumers will have access to more advanced staking options than just liquid staking, available to MetaMask wallet users. Institutional partners will be able to place investments and treasury funds in a liquid yield-bearing instrument.
The above text doesn’t allude to specific confirmed deals. The institutional offering is a potential roadmap item. The Linea Bridge Staked ETH is a real possibility as a first step.
Security and Operations Excellence
Consensys has operated with LidoV2 for several years and continues to partner with Lido on new features with the same high level of security and operational excellence. Achieving and maintaining SOC2 Type II and ISO27001 certification, where operational and security standards continually evolve and improve on previous years.
Consensys does not offer DVT and it is not currently on our roadmap. Multi-region and multi-cloud infrastructure provides geographically split fault tolerance.
