Node Operator Admission: Stakely as stVault Basic Operator

Identification

Stakely is a blockchain infrastructure provider based in Spain and founded in 2020. We operate validators across more than 30 active networks and have supported over 100 networks since launch. Our team of fifteen manages node operations, development, and community tasks directly. We focus on security and reliability, supported by SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001 certifications, Staking Rewards AAA verified staking provider, a long term uptime record of 99.95 percent, and zero slashing events.
We work as a curated operator for several Ethereum liquid staking protocols including Lido since 2022, Swell, Stakewise, Stader and Mellow. We also take part in emerging Ethereum technologies such as restaking, DVT and preconfirmations.
Alongside our infrastructure work we build community tools and support ecosystem growth with multilingual content and educational resources, and we have made several contributions to the wider crypto ecosystem including staking, Ethereum and Lido where we released open source tooling and public good contributions.

Business Case

We plan to operate a simple and low risk ETH strategy for our stVault. The vault will focus on secure and stable performance. Our plan is to offer clients access to the DeFi wrapper and to looping or other predefined strategies once they become available without the need for curator involvement.

We expect ETH inflow from three main segments:

  • Retail users: We began as a retail focused staking provider and maintain an active presence on social platforms where we publish regular content. This has helped us build a strong base of delegators. We will share the vault with our community and expect steady organic inflow.
  • Protocols: We have worked with more than one hundred networks and projects since 2020. This history gives us many contacts across the ecosystem. We plan to promote the vault to relevant protocols as our flagship Ethereum staking service.
  • Institutions: We have strengthened our company through certifications and internal audits. Together with our relationships with European institutional players, especially in Spain, we expect to onboard these entities to Lido through our vault.

We will seed the vault with at least 300 ETH from our own treasury to initiate the process and support its early growth. Also, we commit to deposit at least 20% of our curated operator rewards to the vault every month under normal market conditions.

Operations and Decentralization

Our operational model follows strict security controls that align with our SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001 certifications. We run a globally distributed infrastructure and apply a mix of clients where appropriate. Our long record across many networks shows that we maintain conservative risk practices and avoid conditions that could expose validators to penalties.

  • Server geolocation diversity: We use a mix of cloud and bare metal providers across several European regions to reduce correlated failure risks. We prioritise locations that are often underrepresented in Ethereum while keeping latency low.
  • Client diversity: We maintain diversity at the execution, beacon and validator client layers. We aim to favour underrepresented implementations when performance and stability permit. We continuously battle test clients and run pilots with emerging implementations to strengthen resilience. We also support running validators with DVT, operating more than 1,000 Lido validators in an Obol cluster. We are experienced with SSV too and may also use it to run validators, as we are already operating it for other clients.
  • MEV posture: We follow MEV neutrality policies that place network safety first. We use Commit Boost to support flexible MEV options without harming proposer fairness. We also operate additional MEV sidecars for other protocols as part of our research and testing activity.
  • Jurisdictions: Stakely is headquartered in Spain and holds a subsidiary in the UK.

Thanks for applying, it’s great to see you moving forward with onboarding as a stVaults Node Operator.

The stVaults Committee has started the assessment process, and we’ll keep you updated as things progress.

As a delegate of the stVaults Committee, I am posting to confirm that the relevant ET motions establishing Stakely’s status as an stVaults Identified Node Operator have now been enacted.

Following the committee’s assessment of Stakely’s application, Stakely has been assigned to the Basic Identified Operator Category under the stVaults framework, in line with the scope of its application.
