Background and Context
The Lido Node Operator Sub-Governance Group (LNOSG) has reviewed the recent business changes affecting the node operator Stakin, a participant in the Lido Curated Module and Simple DVT Module.
Stakin has disclosed that it has been acquired by The Tie, an institutional services provider for digital assets. According to the information shared by Stakin on the forum and through follow-up discussions with the NOM contributor workstream, validator operations will continue to be managed by the existing Stakin team. No changes to infrastructure, validator operations, geographic deployment, custody, or key management are planned, and no validator migration is expected as a result of the acquisition. The Stakin brand will continue to be used for validator operations under “Stakin by The Tie.”
The LNOSG has considered the information provided by Stakin in the forum post and related context regarding the transaction.
Conclusion
Based on the information reviewed, the LNOSG has not identified any concerns that would warrant proposing changes to Stakin’s current participation as a node operator in the Lido Curated Module.
Proposal
Allow Stakin (operating as “Stakin by The Tie”) to continue node operator activities in Lido as-is.
Next Steps
This proposal is open for community feedback for a period of one week. If no major objections are raised during this time, the LNOSG suggests proceeding with a Snapshot vote to receive DAO confirmation regarding the changes.
