Disclosure: I have been a beneficiary of this program and under the proposed 2.0 version I will continue to be.
There has been some talk about Lido controlling the outcomes of the DAO. While not perfect, I think the program has managed to create a diverse set of independent participants with skin in the ecosystem that participate in governance. It is a fairly simple mechanism, and for what we’re seeing in other DAOs, it’s quite resilient in comparison.
