Chorus One Joins Bitwise

We are pleased to announce that Bitwise has acquired Chorus One, including its team and infrastructure. Chorus One will join Bitwise as part of Bitwise Onchain Solutions which includes Attestant (BVI) Limited, a Curated Set Node Operator.

As we understand the historical precedent in the Lido Node Operators set that a single entity cannot operate several Curated Set Node Operators, we are also announcing our intention to voluntarily withdraw Chorus One from the Curated Module. The infrastructure run by Attestant (BVI) Limited, will remain the same in terms of deployment (bare metal) and geographical and jurisdictional location.

As such, we will coordinate with Lido DAO contributors regarding the process to smoothly exit Chorus One’s validators from the Curated Module in a timeline and manner that minimizes impact to stakers and users of the protocol.

We look forward to furthering our commitment to Ethereum, through our continued support of Vouch and Dirk, as well as our other open source libraries (ESD, Go client libraries, ethdo, chaind, etc.). We believe our acquisition of Chorus One puts us in an even stronger position to do so.

Thank you very much @Berryman for the message and the welcome. On behalf of Chorus One, I am pleased to officially confirm that the acquisition by Bitwise has been completed. Chorus One is now part of Bitwise Onchain Solutions.

On the Curated Module side, we are formally confirming our intention to deprecate Chorus One’s participation in the Curated Module, and I want to express our commitment to getting this right. We will be working closely with the Bitwise team and Lido contributors to ensure the exit process is well-coordinated, transparent, and smooth for stakers. This means being proactive in communication, responsive throughout the process, and making sure no step is rushed.

Chorus One has always cared deeply about its role in the Ethereum ecosystem and Lido, and that doesn’t change with this new chapter. We are very excited about what we can build together as part of Bitwise Onchain Solutions.

I am available for any questions from the community.

Congratulations to the Chorus One team on the acquisition and the transition into Bitwise Onchain Solutions – a big milestone, and wishing you a smooth integration ahead.

Given Chorus One’s stated intention to deprecate its participation in the Curated Module, I would like to suggest that the Lido DAO begin the wind‑down process by setting Chorus One’s target limit to 0 (soft mode). This would allow the protocol to start directing exit requests toward their validator set, ensuring a smooth and predictable offboarding.

Thanks, @cnupy - that makes sense. We’ll propose to reset Chorus One’s target limit to 0 (soft mode) in the upcoming on-chain vote.

Hey!
Do you also plan to stop participating in the Lido Oracle set?
