Tim Beiko’s tenure with LEGO began in May 2021, and their lasting contributions to LEGO are self-evident (Souce). Since joining LEGO Beiko contributed necessary insight to keep LEGO Ethereum aligned. It is bittersweet to see them move on to other priorities. We wish you well @timbeiko.
Expanding The LEGO Committee
Nonetheless, this is an opportunity for LEGO to find someone equally as passionate to act as LEGO’s Ethereum aligned voice. With Eric Siu, LEGO receives a comparable member who strongly grasps Ethereum issuance, macroeconomics, and MEV discussions. Complimentary to their foundational Ethereum knowledge is their previous experience working on public goods programs at CryptoShire and long standing participation in Lido DAO research forum, starting at June 2022 (Source).
Altering The Checks & Balances Of LEGO For Routine Operations
In regards to council member addition, we believe the alteration to LEGO’s checks & balances is a positive shift from the current overhead that requires a snapshot vote. The same reasoning behind the integration of Easy Track – to remove uncontentious and routine operations from requiring approval of the DAO agent – applies to this request to expand the powers LEGO is solely responsible for.

Have the LEGO members considered a concrete definition for what constitutes an “original” member?
a. For instance, if “original” is defined as a member that has been a part of LEGO since the genesis then it would include: “vshvsh - General, Tech, kethfinex - Admin, Community, Jules_Jules1 - Community, kadmil - DeFi Integrations, skozin - Ethereum Liquid Staking, katernoir - Validation Tech” (Source). Of these six members Vasiliy, Kadmil, Kethfinex, and Sam are those we can identify based on username, possibly indicating that 5 “original” members do not remain. -
If this proposal passes, is it implied that the vote to change LEGO’s composition will happen on the forum, similar to TMC votes (Source)?
