[EGG] Establishing the Community Lifeguards Initiative (CLI) Sub-Committee

gmeow

As we step back from our formal role as Lido Community Lifeguards, StakeCat wants to take this opportunity to thank the Lido staking community, our fellow Community Lifeguards and the wider Lido team for an incredible experience. It’s been a privilege to support the growth of CSM to mainnet and it has been immensely rewarding engaging with the solo staking community, from our work on the solo staker list, presenting CSM to local communities or participating at Devcon.

As we look forward, StakeCat are focused on growing as a professional node operator and are committed to the further decentralisation of Ethereum, encouraging the growth of home stakers through advocacy for CSM, DV, and other initiatives.

Thank you again - we look forward to contributing to the Lido and Ethereum staking community in new ways in the future.

2025 - Q1 Community Lifeguard Report

GM community. As usual, here’s our quarterly report with our work for the home stakers in Lido, including Solo Stakers Guilds, our 2025 strategy and more.

[New] CLGs 2025 Strategy

Sam and Enti officially have 1 year contributing to the DAO! Hence it made sense to formalize our strategy for the year to help us double down on what works and cut what doesn’t.

We narrowed our focus down to 2 main goals powered by 6 core activities, each addressing their respective segments in our CSM onboarding funnel.
Goal #1 — Increase direct conversion of CSM Operators.

  • The formal first cohort of the (1) Community Staking Fleet
  • Doing multiple (2) Solo Stakers Guilds every quarter
  • Working with other communities to expand our online reach through (3) Collaborative Workshops and more
  • Ramping up the (4) Lido Community Staking Tribes Initiative

Goal #2 — Ensure the availability of relevant tools and resources for CSM Node Operators.

  • Identify needs and channel (5) Community Grant funding towards meeting them
  • Coordinate with Lido contributors for resources that require their involvement and put them in relevant places (e.g., Node Operator portal).

Finally, we will continue to use (6) Content as a pillar that supports all of our other activities.

Community

Similar to Q4 ‘24, our approach included a mix of content, async support, and synchronous activities described in the sub-sections below.

As it stands, these are the numbers at the end of this quarter:

  • 400 total registered Node Operators in the CSM. Note that this is the total amount of NOs coming from a mix of efforts from Lido contributors as it’s currently not possible to attribute provenance.
  • 10 satellite solo staking communities established (up from 9 in Q3’24) with local advocates across Asia and LATAM with 820 members in aggregate. These satellite communities mainly organize themselves on Telegram and leverage the Lido CSM for their solo staking journeys.

Satisfaction Survey

As usual, we ran our quarterly satisfaction survey to understand where we can improve. This one received 40 respondents, down by 7 from the 47 respondents in Q4 ‘24. We subtracted the percentage of those who voted 5 (promoters) from the percentage of those who voted 1-3 (detractors), giving us a total Net Promoter Score (NPS).

These are the results:

Question Q4 ‘24 NPS (%) Q1 ‘25 NPS (%) Change (%)
How would you rate the quality of events (workshops, presentations, etc) from the Lido Community Lifeguards? 76.19 77.78 +1.59
How satisfied are you with the quality of interactions and support provided by the Lido Community Lifeguards? 72.34 75.00 +2.66
How likely are you to recommend the Lido Community Lifeguards as guides to someone interested in Ethereum staking? 74.47 72.50 -1.97
Aggregated NPS 74.33 75.09 +0.76

The sentiment on the additional comments section were full of positive and supporting feedback. Thanks :folded_hands:

Community Staking Roundtables

The Lido Marketing team have taken over the organizing reigns of the Community Staking Roundtable so that topics can be broadened to include interesting discussions across the Lido value streams.

Meanwhile, the Community Lifeguards remain an ever-ready resource for the Lido Marketing team to tap on for any Roundtable sessions.

CSM-DVT Clusters

Forming DVT clusters among new home stakers are a great way for the community to bond and grow together while enjoying better performance & security for their validators.

It also serves as an aspirational motivation for others in the community to follow in their footsteps.

Hence, we began curating DVT clusters for CSM Operators who have shown interest in running such setups. However, we make sure that these CSM Operators are ready before they deploy on Mainnet—hosting both in-person & online meetups to walk them through the concepts and the steps, as well as helping them practice on Testnet.

To-date, we have curated 2 clusters on Mainnet and 1 cluster on Testnet, with a growing list of interested folks to participate in more.

Cluster Name CSM Operator ID Cluster Size DVT Used Number of keys
Ministry of Stakers 299 7 Obol 1
SG Semi-Pros 327 7 SSV 7
Malaysia DV Operators (Testnet) NA 7 Obol NA

Ministry of Stakers and SG Semi-Pros will be looking to scale up the number of keys operated when CSM key share limits are raised while Malaysia DV Operators will begin transitioning onto Mainnet.

Other Community Staking Content (podcasts, blog posts, and more)

With CSM hitting capacity within 90 minutes of it’s permission-less release, we geared our content towards up-skilling the existing CSM Operators.

We have also been recording some episodes with Community Stakers in CSM. The first few episodes should go out soon!

Community Lifeguards at Conferences & Events

Q1’25 saw slower conference participation as relevant ones are scheduled for later in the year. In place of that, we spent more time engaging in grassroots community events.

Solo Stakers Guild

Our cost-efficient in-person community engagement model continues steadily this quarter.

Solo Stakers Guild #9: SEA Blockchain Week Bangkok, Thailand Contribution DAO, Southeast Asia Blockchain Week 4th April 2025

A ton of planning and coordination goes behind the scenes to ensure the quality of the Solo Stakers Guild series and we are grateful for an increasing amount of support from local ecosystem players.

A huge shoutout to the ones joining our cause this (and next) quarter to help grow Ethereum Solo and Home Stakers in their respective countries!

Lido Luma Calendar

We kicked off this year doing more in-person and online events than ever, so we opened a Luma Calendar for all things Lido. Including events of our own and those of our satellite communities.

Make sure to subscribe and help us spread the word while we continue delivering high quality event programming with strong ecosystem players at very reasonable costs compared to market norms.

Lido Community Staking Tribes (LCST)

Due to the non-finalization issue on Holesky and subsequent migration to the Hoodi testnet this quarter, the progress of participants were impacted and delayed across the board.

Hence, we focused on our outreach and onboarding efforts with 3 new organisations joining this initiative to sponsor staking hardware for their contributors.

  • Chainstack, a platform providing a suite of services linking developers to Web3 infrastructure.
  • Chainbound, a research and development organization building optimized infrastructure and networking tools for blockchains, and a member of the Lido Alliance.
  • OpenZeppelin, Web3’s leading provider of open-source tools, contract libraries, and security services.

Catch the announcement for Chainstack here if you missed it and stay tuned for the announcements for Chainbound and OpenZepellin!

Progress of Participants

Organisation Number of Participants Status
Drop Increased from 4 to 6 - 3 Participants were attesting with good performance on Holesky - Pending migration to Hoodi
Chainstack 3 All 3 participants completed Holesky testnet setups
Chainbound 2 Starting with 1 participant before adding another 1
OpenZeppellin 1 Hosting their custom co-branded Dappnode in their hacker house in Argentina, which will encourage other organisations to join in the efforts to create new home stakers

Next Steps

We will wait for Dappnode’s Hoodi packages to be released before pushing all participants through the new Testnet and then onto Mainnet if there are no issues with their performance.

In the meantime, 3 more organisations have committed to participate in this initiative and will be onboarded in between April to May 2025.

Support

This quarter was likely the most decisive for CSM. After hitting mainnet last year, we started targeting communities and groups that were likely to have stakers in the EA list and get them on before CSM went fully permissionless. This involved many workshops, 1-1s and countless reachouts.

CSM had keys deposited well beyond its limit soon after the permissionless release, and the issues related to the Pectra upgrade of Holesky. We had to slow down, but we definitely did not stop! We heard the feedback and an official CSM guide that further streamlines the user journey of CSM Operators is underway.

Internal work

This is not something the community sees, but we spend a fair amount of our time on organizing ourselves internally (CLGs weeklys, internal documentation, etc) as well as calls, some regular syncs with other Lido contributors and other meetings with relevant parties from the ecosystem like other staking-related projects or communities. These meetings cover various topics, from CSM-related decision-making to presenting community ideas and initiatives.

Plus, after receiving feedback from the community we’re working on a official CSM setup guide. Stay tuned.

Grants given in Q1

We started the year with a more modest usage of our budget of 16,670 USD compared to the previous quarter (19,300). Most of it was spent on event sponsorships & regular grants, while the rest was used for the remaining of CSM Tooling, and our Solo Stakers Guilds as described in a previous section.

  • Solo Stakers Guilds: Sam and Enti conducted 3 Solo Stakers Guilds during this quarter. One in Buenos Aires, Argentina (the first SSG in Latam!) and three in Asia.
  • Lido CSM Korea Community: Created localized content & resources for Korean CSM operators and conducted a workshop with 37 attendees and 8 CSM Operators onboarded onto Testnet. ****Check out their post-event report here.
  • Lido CSM Japanese Community: A retroactive grant for a hands-on workshop during ETH Tokyo that onboarded 18 Testnet Node Operators, 6 of whom have since launched CSM validators on the Mainnet. (event page)
  • ETH Taipei: This is an official side event of ETH Taipei focused on home staking, done in collaboration between AWS Taiwan, Insight Software and ETH Taipei.
  • DDC Meetup: A CSM workshop by the Davao DeFi Community in the Philipines. See their grant proposal here.
  • Ethereum Argentina Cordoba Edition: The team behind Ethereum Argentina got a sponsorship grant for their +300 person event on Cordoba happening on August. We’ll provide an update on our next report.
  • CSM Tooling: The CSM Tooling round officially closed this quarter. The last grant was for Smeee’s Dune dashboard and a extension for a performance API from MigaLabs.
  • CSM Interns: We continue with this small grant for two community stakers who are helping the Lido marketing team with bottoms-up social media outreach.
  • CSM Stickers: CLGs together with the marketing team commissioned a pack of 15 animated stickers, you can find them on Discord and Telegram!

Operative Expenses

This quarter we used $5,563.89 (28% of the total $20K budget), a decrease of 30% over the past quarter’s 8.1K. As seen on the screenshot below, most was used for travel expenses, followed by software expenses and some miscellaneous.

What to expect in Q2 2025

  • A steady cadence of online workshops, community events, and Solo Stakers Guild— Subscribe to our Luma calendar here to keep up to date and help us spread the word!
  • Getting all of the current participants of Lido Community Staking Tribes onto Mainnet
  • Onboarding more organisations onto Lido Community Staking Tribes
  • An official CSM guide streamlining the user journey for CSM Operators
  • Launch of the Community Staking Fleet Initiative with 2 strong candidates

Stay tuned!

Great job folks <3, and great report too!

Considering that CSM is maxxed out (waiting for v2 :eyes: ) - I’d definitely focus on getting the Community Staking Tribes to test CSM v2 - integrate them with DVT - get them familiarized on the flow and when v2 comes they can have their own “extension”.

I’d personally love to work with you on such extensions, so HMU - you both know where I am :stuck_out_tongue:

Community Staking Online

This quarter came with a diverse lineup of online events like targeted workshops and community calls. We’ve really enjoyed stepping up to host many of these sessions, allowing us to deliver hands-on training and connect directly with our community on key topics!

  • Run Lido CSM with Nethermind Sedge: A hands-on workshop guiding new and existing solo stakers on how to use the Nethermind Sedge tool for a rapid Lido CSM setup.
  • Governance for Node Operators: A session exploring how node operators can actively participate in the governance processes of Ethereum and the Lido DAO.
  • Lido x Aztec Community Call: A collaborative community call with the Aztec team, focused on their privacy-preserving L2 and how home stakers can run a sequencer on existing hardware.
  • Lido CSM Hands-on Workshop en Español: A dedicated, step-by-step workshop conducted entirely in Spanish, teaching participants how to deploy a Lido CSM validator using Google Cloud.
  • Roundtable with Shayan from ethduti.es: One of our classic roundtables, this time dedicated to some community-wide updates (like CSM v2 or the Identified Community Staker framework) with a special guest! Shayan, who is building ethduti.es, an Ethereum validator duties tracker.

CSM-DVT Clusters

We continue to use this as a conversion strategy within our strongest communities. In Q2’25, we have one more CSM-DVT cluster committed to operating on mainnet!

There are no changes to the number of keys run on Lido CSM by these clusters as the key limit of CSM remains capped. That said, we will be facilitating these clusters to increase their key count once CSM v2 goes live.

Community Lifeguards at Conferences & Events

We maintained low conference participation in Q2’25 in favour of larger key conferences in the 2nd half of the year—e.g., EthCC, Edcon, KBW, Token2049 Singapore, DevConnect.

With more time on our hands, we continue to double down on our strategy of engaging grassroots communities. Check out the details below!

Lido Luma Calendar

We continued the momentum into Q2 with more in-person and online events than ever (activity increased from 13 events in Q1 to over 17 events in Q2).

Our Luma Calendar for all things Lido remains the central hub, including our own events and those of our satellite communities.

Make sure to subscribe and help us spread the word while we continue delivering high quality event programming with strong ecosystem players at very reasonable costs compared to market norms.

1981 subscribers vs 1539 last quarter.

Lido Community Staking Tribes (LCST)

In Q1, we mentioned 3 more organisations will be participating in Q2 but we actually have 4 new ones this quarter—The movement is getting louder!

Check out the announcements in the linked table below.

Progress of Participants

Organisation Number of Participants Status
Drop Increased from 4 to 6 3 Participants were attesting with good performance on Holesky, Pending migration to Hoodi
Wonderland (new) 1 Pending testnet setup
Cryptoknight Academy (new) 4 Hardware purchased. Participants will be selected from community members who have shown commitment to becoming Ethereum home stakers.
StraitsX (new) 4 All participants have received their hardware and will begin their first lesson in July.
Nethermind (new) 3 All participants have received their hardware and will begin their first lesson in July.

Next Steps

Although some participants prefer to wait for Dappnode to release their Hoodi CSM package before resuming their setup process, we took the initiative to publish workaround instructions to all participants.

We will be pushing all participants aggressively onto Lido CSM v2 Mainnet in Q3!

Support

We continue helping node operators in CSM and all over Ethereum to keep their validators online through many of the workshops, 1-1s and reachouts.

The queue for CSM is still long, and deposits started to come in just recently. We hope to see a stake share limit increase for CSM soon! Due to this, conversion efforts remain low but engagement with already-existing, or training on testnet for new operators is going strong.

Grants given in Q2

In this second quarter, we saw an increased usage of our budget to 24,003 USD compared to the previous quarter (16,670). Most of it was spent on key integrations, while the rest was used for general community grants and the expansion of our Solo Stakers Guilds, as described in the points below.

  • Solo Stakers Guilds: The initiative expanded with two new events this quarter! The first-ever guild in Vienna, Austria, held as a ‘Road to EthCC’ event, and a successful SSG in **Costa Rica** for the LATAM community.
  • Unified Performance Rating API for CSM v2: A grant was awarded to Miga Labs to develop a unified performance API for CSM v2. This will enhance validator evaluations by adding block proposals and sync committee participation to the existing attestation metrics.
  • High-Signal: A grant was provided to adapt the High Signal tool for Lido. This platform uses AI to ingest and analyze content from various channels, ensuring its alignment with Lido’s strategic goals.
  • Lido CSM Japanese Community: We continued to support our Japanese community with a grant for various activations. This included a keynote at a Fracton Ventures event, a hands-on workshop during the TEAMZ Summit, and the creation of localized Japanese-language guides used during the workshops and follow-up sessions
  • ETHAsia: We supported the first ETH Asia conference in Hong Kong with a small grant. Stakesaurus gave a talk on the community stage during the morning of ETHAsia which served as a funnel to Solo Stakers Guild Hong Kong in the afternoon.
  • Balkan Operators Community: This grant helped kick off the Balkan Operators Community, led by the Web3 Academy team, with their first meet-up happening in Belgrade!
  • ETH Tegucigalpa (Honduras): Tegucigalpa community received a grant to host a workshop on how to run an Ethereum node from home. The event is scheduled for July, and we will provide an update on its outcome in our next report.
  • urbe.eth (Rome): urbe.eth community hosted a hands-on workshop in Rome for 30 attendees. The event was conducted in Italian to help build a local node operator community - some pictures here!
  • CSM Interns: This was the last quarter supporting one community staker who was helping the Lido marketing team with bottoms-up social media outreach.

Operative Expenses

This quarter we used $7,570.65 (37.85% of the total $20K budget), an increase of 36.07% over the past quarter’s 5.5K. As seen on the screenshot below, most was used for travel expenses, followed by software expenses and some miscellaneous.

What to expect in Q3 2025

  • Getting operators prepared for CSM v2, including dynamics to help them go through the Identified Community Stakers framework.
  • A steady cadence of online workshops, community events, and Solo Stakers Guild— Subscribe to our Luma calendar here to keep up to date and help us spread the word!
  • Getting all of the current participants of Lido Community Staking Tribes onto Mainnet
  • Onboarding more organizations onto Lido Community Staking Tribes

Stay tuned!

2025 - Q3 Community Lifeguard Report

Hello! This quarterly report shows a bit later than usual, but that’s because we’ve been busy working hard for the community of operators :construction_worker:. Here you will find:

  • How our community has grown

  • Our participation in conferences

  • Where are we allocating funds

And much more! Including some big news for @ stakesaurus, who’s now moving to the Institutional Relations team at Lido to help spread the word about Ethereum and staking as more institutions put their eyes on web3, but isn’t planning to stop helping community stakers either ;).

Community

Our community strategy largely remains the same. Hyper-local communities give home stakers a tight-knit space to learn and share with fellow Ethereum enthusiasts.

As it stands, these are the numbers at the end of this quarter:

  • 462 total registered Node Operators in the CSM. Note that this is the total amount of NOs coming from a mix of efforts from Lido contributors as it’s currently not possible to attribute provenance.

  • 15 satellite solo staking communities established (up from 13 in Q2’25) with local advocates across Asia and LATAM with X members in aggregate. These satellite communities mainly organize themselves on Telegram and leverage the Lido CSM for their solo staking journeys.

Solo Stakers Guild (SSG)

Running validators sounds like a daunting task for many, and that’s why SSGs are a cornerstone of our strategy, it just works better in person. But that also means there’s a higher level of planning and coordination behind the scenes to make sure participants have the best experience possible.

Our cost-efficient in-person community engagement model continues steadily this quarter.

Lido Luma Calendar

We hosted 6 events in total during this period, including SSGs in 5 countries, online events and supported those of our satellite communities. That is without counting bigger events like the flagship Solo Stakers Guild in Cannes.

We saw an increase of 32%, finishing Q3 with 2620 subscribers from 1981 last quarter.

Make sure to subscribe to the Luma Calendar for all things Lido.

Lido Community Staking Tribes (LCST)

We continued support for all projects involved in the LCST, including guidance for them to become ICS operators!

Nethermind 3 All participants completed Hoodi setup
Aztec (New) 2 To be announced. Aztec is sponsoring 2 university blockchain clubs in Singapore a Dappnode hardware each for their members to take turns practicing how to run Ethereum validators on the Hoodi testnet.

And now that CSM v2 is out and with increased capacity we hope to see more operators joining, and we’re ready to help them succeed here!

Grants given in Q3

We spent $13,021 (a decrease of 45.7% from $24,003 last quarter), with most of it going to Solo Stakers Guilds, plus a few other grants.

  • Solo Staker Guild: We had a total of 7 SSGs this quarter in Asia, Europe and Latam. Find the details for all of them in the Conferences & Events section above.

  • ethduti.es: a validator duties tracker that stores all data on your browser.

  • Proof-of-Teach: A 3-day hybrid technical workshop in Davao, Philippines, covering topics across the Ethereum stack. Stakesaurus ran a workshop on Lido CSM during the Ethereum validator segment. We provided a small retroactive grant of $500 to support the organisers for effective Ethereum education in the Philippines.

  • SEVEN Blockchain validator workshop: An in-person workshop for the students of Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) covering Lido CSM and Aztec L2 sequencers. This activity is also part of Aztec’s participation in the Lido Community Staking Tribes Initiative where Aztec is sponsoring 1 custom Dappnode hardware for the SUTD blockchain club (SEVEN). We issued a small retroactive grant of $366 covering 40 dinner boxes for the participants.

  • Update to nodeop.info: A community-run CSM rewards calculator

Operative Expenses

This quarter we used $8,790.22 (43.9% of the total $20K budget), an increase of 16.1% over the past quarter’s $7,570.65. As seen on the screenshot below, most was used for travel expenses, followed by miscellaneous and some software expenses.

What to expect in Q4 2025

CSM v2 is live with increased capacity! We’re gearing up to have a productive end of the year with some plans including:

  • More operators joining the CSM! Now that v2 is out and capacity is increased we’re gearing up to get some new Home Stakers in.

  • Strong community presence in Brazil :brazil: and Argentina :argentina: for Devconnect and in Singapore.

  • More content and preparations for 2026!

Stay tuned!

Sam moving teams

As explained in the introduction, Sam is moving to the Institutional Relations team at Lido. The space has matured a lot and we’re seeing an unprecedented amount of institutions wanting to participate in this world we call web3; and now Ethereum needs the best talent possible to be represented and adapt to this new phase, while using this new interest as a way to spread our values.

On a more personal note, I know he’s not going anywhere (especially because the community is at his heart so we’ll continue to do things), but it is only right to state how happy and proud I am to have been working so closely with Sam over the past two years.

Fees & Payment

Hi everyone, Sam/Stakesaurus here.

I just want to say that it’s been an absolute banger of a time working with my fellow Community Lifeguards contributor (@enti) and the Lido Community Staking contributors (@Aleksandra_G @dgusakov @KimonSh @Izzy @satBalwyn & many more) over the past 2 years to grow the number of Home Stakers through the Lido Community Staking Module (CSM)!

Over the past 2 years, I witnessed firsthand how Lido contributors obsess over making the protocol more decentralised and secure, how they push for the interests of their users (often fighting hard internally), and how they work tirelessly to improve the user experience of CSM Operators.

It’s been a pleasure serving the Lido Community

There are many achievements I am proud of, but one that stands out is the strong and highly engaged Lido Home Staking Community that we helped to cultivate.

First of all, I want to thank our community for the immensely positive feedback and constructive suggestions from our surveys.

It’s been incredibly encouraging to see the community taking the time and effort to learn about CSM despite their full-time roles elsewhere. Even more heartwarming is how the more technically adept members enjoy helping newer members get up to speed with running Ethereum validator nodes.

This Lido Community continues to directly and indirectly grow the number of CSM Operators each day.

A new way to contribute

Lido CSM launched with a Stake Share Limit of 1% of Lido TVL. This upper limit was increased to 5% with the recent launch of CSM v2, and ~4% is already utilised today.

There is no doubt that existing and aspiring node operators love running Ethereum validators using CSM.

With more Home Stakers wanting to become CSM Operators, one way to speed up their validator keys getting deposits from Lido is to grow the protocol itself, and this is what I want to help with next!

I have observed a growing interest from institutions in APAC around Ethereum and staking during my time building communities on the ground here.

The time is now to educate them about the most decentralised way to put their ETH to work, and help them become a force of good for Ethereum :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

What’s next for Stakesaurus?

As Enti mentioned, in our Q3’25 report, I will always be an Ethereum Solo/Home Staker at heart.

I will continue to help aspiring Solo/Home/Community Stakers get started on and complete their journeys. e.g., Participants of the Lido Community Staking Tribes, Solo Stakers Guild, CSM-DVT clusters.

You can also expect me to continue sharing my knowledge with everyone as I explore new opportunities in this space and improve my skills as a node operator over time!

In short, Stakesaurus remains a fierce advocate of Home Staking, Lido, and Ethereum.

Hello! This quarterly report is right on schedule and reflects a period of consolidation and momentum for the Community Staking Module and its growing ecosystem.

As the CSM stabilizes and participation deepens, our work has increasingly shifted from early experimentation toward strengthening existing communities, improving operator experience, and supporting higher-signal engagements across the ecosystem.

Community

Our community strategy remains local-first at its core, but this quarter marked a clear shift toward consolidation and sustainability.

Rather than prioritizing the launch of new satellite groups, we focused on strengthening the most active and impactful communities, improving coordination across regions, and guiding more operators toward Lido’s Discord as the primary source of truth for support, resources, and cross-community collaboration. This approach reflects the increasing maturity of both the CSM and its operator base.

As of the end of this quarter:

  • 524 total registered Node Operators in the CSM. Note that this figure represents a mix of efforts from across the Lido ecosystem, as it’s currently not possible to attribute provenance.
  • 15 satellite solo staking communities, primarily across Asia and LATAM. These communities continue to operate locally (largely via Telegram), while increasingly relying on Lido Discord for shared support and coordination.

At ETHLatam, participation included a panel discussion alongside Dappnode, as well as involvement in the ETHLatam Company Roadshow. Through the roadshow, we connected with several large Brazilian organizations across banking, fintech, and crypto, helping advance conversations around Ethereum staking with more established players.

Solo Stakers Guild (SSG)

In-person Solo Stakers Guild events remain a cornerstone of the Community Lifeguards’ engagement model, enabling hands-on support and deeper trust-building among operators.

Name Location Local Contributor(s) Date
Solo Stakers Guild São Paulo São Paulo, Brazil ERC55 22 Oct
Solo Stakers Guild Buenos Aires Buenos Aires, Argentina Ethereum Argentina 28 Oct

These sessions prioritized peer learning, practical validator discussions, and strengthening relationships with existing operators and key community stakeholders.

Lido Luma Calendar

The Lido Luma Calendar remains the main hub for community events across regions and initiatives.

We saw continued growth this quarter, finishing with 3,515 subscribers, up from 2,620 last quarter.

Note that the calendar is increasingly being used by other teams at Lido, so not all metrics now reflect Community Lifeguard–led activity.

Make sure to subscribe to the Luma Calendar for all things Lido.

Lido Community Staking Tribes (LCST)

We continued supporting all participants involved in the Lido Community Staking Tribes program throughout the quarter.

Members of the cohort remain active, with many having already completed the core technical phase of the program. Current efforts are focused on follow-up support and guidance as participants transition toward becoming Identified Community Stakers (ICS), ensuring they are well prepared to operate within Lido’s Community Staking Module when they decide to move to mainnet.

Support during this phase includes operational guidance, validation of readiness, and alignment with the requirements of the Identified Community Staker framework.

Support

We continued supporting node operators in the CSM and across the broader Ethereum ecosystem through workshops, 1-1s, and direct outreach. CSM capacity filled by the end of the quarter, but we’re seeing people still interested in uploading more keys awaiting a possible limit increase in Q1 2026.

Internal work

In parallel to outward-facing efforts, we continued spending time on internal coordination and organization. This included regular CLG syncs, maintaining internal documentation, and ongoing calls with other Lido contributors and ecosystem stakeholders. These discussions ranged from CSM-related decision-making to sharing community insights and exploring potential initiatives.

Grants given in Q3

During Q4 2025, total grants amounted to $4,660, representing a decrease of ~64% compared to $13,021 in the previous quarter.

Most funding supported in-person community activity, alongside a small number of retroactive grants recognizing meaningful ecosystem contributions.

  • Solo Stakers Guilds: We supported in-person Solo Stakers Guild events during the quarter through standard reimbursements for community-organized activities.
  • Retroactive grants: We issued three retroactive grants in recognition of meaningful ecosystem contributions. These included community support as well as software-related contributions, such as support for Lido modules in commit boost or Rotki support for CSM

Operative Expenses

During Q4 2025, operative expenses totaled $973.65, representing a significant decrease of ~89% compared to $8,790.22 in the previous quarter.

Most expenses were related to travel, accounting for the majority of costs, with a small portion allocated to software expenses.

What to expect in Q1 2026

In Q1 2026, we will continue supporting Community Staking Module participants while focusing on consolidating community activity in Lido’s Discord.

We are also preparing a small number of targeted activities, such as roundtables and workshops, to support operators joining CSM and going through the ICS setup.

Fees & Payment

For the contributions completed, the CLGs request that the committee consider payment based on the individual performance of the Community Lifeguards to the Ethereum addresses:
